A Quicker Way to Become Part of Canada

Canada Express Entry program is a selection system designed for immigrants with the work skills and attributes needed to benefit the country and succeed in Canada. Because these immigrants have skills that are sought-after, they receive faster processing times (six months or less) by going through the programs that make use of the Express Entry system: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class and many of the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP). This allows you to make the move to Canada faster.

The first step is for potential immigrants to complete an Express Entry profile online. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) tool (also known as a calculator) calculates your score based on the answers you provide in your profile about your job skills, education, language ability, work experience and other factors related to immigration success. Once you submit the completed profile and are found to meet the criteria, you will be included in the immigration pool the federal and provincial programs draw from.

Periodically, the government of Canada, as well as provincial and territory governments, will invite applications for one or more of the programs from those in the pool who meet or exceed a certain point level. Those with the right point level, a valid job offer from a Canadian employer or a nomination by a province or territory will receive an Invitation to Apply through Express Entry – depending upon the program(s) seeking new applicants. The Invitation to Apply is also an online process and gives candidates 90 days to submit their application through that program for permanent residence.

Candidates in the Express Entry pool can advance their chances of being hired by contacting employers directly as well as by using Canada’s job bank.

Express Entry provides a quicker application processing time for those eligible in one of the three national programs (Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class) and many of the Provincial Nominee programs (PNP). We can help you determine which program is right for you and start making your dreams of living and working in Canada a reality.

Express Entry is not valid for those seeking to immigrate to the province of Quebec. In the case of legally married or common-law partners where one or both meet one of the three program’s criteria, either spouse can be the principal applicant and obviously it’s best to choose the person with the highest CRS score.
