IRCC has temporarily eliminated the Biometrics requirement for temporary residence applicants who are already in Canada. Therefore, candidates who are currently in Canada and wish to apply for, extend or restore their study, work permit or visitor visas are able to do so without meeting the biometrics requirement. This change will go into effect for all new and ongoing applications even if the application form is for applicants outside Canada.
