On September 11, 2019, Nova Scotia launched a new immigration stream within the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP). The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream for Physicians is aimed at inviting physicians to apply for the provincial nomination via the Express Entry system. The program will allow candidates which received an approved offer from the Nova Scotia Health Authority or the IWK Health Centre and who receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration to apply for the provincial nomination certificate. Two NOCs are eligible for this stream – General practitioners and family physicians (NOC 3112) and Specialist physicians (NOC 3111).
