Yukon is one of Canada’s Northernmost territories, with a population of over 43,744 as of March 31, 2022. Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is an employer-driven immigration program. It helps the Yukon government meet the population and labour market requirements by bringing in skilled foreign and semi-skilled workers who can contribute to the province’s economy.

In this guide, we will learn about various Yukon Nominee Program streams and their requirements.

What is the Yukon Nominee Program?

Canada’s provinces offer distinct provincial nominee programs to address labour market shortages in specific industries by bringing in foreign workers. Similarly, the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) has been operating since 2002.

The applicant must obtain a valid job offer from an eligible employer in the province and meet other requirements before applying for the Yukon Nominee Program. YNP also offers a pathway for foreign business owners and entrepreneurs who wish to invest in and run businesses in the territory.
